The Lego Robotics team from Ms. Katherine Silva-Sampaio's GATE 7-8 Science class at Clayton Middle School has been working very hard to build awareness about the declining population of the Mojave Desert Tortoise. This is the state reptile for both California and Nevada. Please watch and share their stop motion video, so as many people as possible can learn about it! Thank you! Here is what Mrs. Owens was up to over summer break 2016: Even when I am on vacation, I love to learn! I was lucky to get to visit Washington D.C. this past summer with my family, and it was an amazing place to learn all about our countries history! (Anybody know why it is called "D.C." ?) We saw many things in the area, but the White House tour was my favorite! Below is a slideshow of some things we got to see inside. I hope everybody gets to visit our Nation's Capital someday! *** Feel free to comment and share pictures of what you did while school was out! Please remember online blog safety and etiquette, and no real faces in any of your pictures!*** |
